The Ellington Properties in Dubai emerged from an idea and the aspiration to change standards. In the case of Ellington Properties, this idea originated in 2014 thanks to three prominent figures in the real estate world: Robert Booth, former CEO of Emaar Properties; Joseph Thomas, Managing Director and shareholder; and Nitin Bhatnagar, co-founder and shareholder of the company.
Robert D. Booth, the co-founder and managing director of Ellington (still holding this position), has extensive experience in real estate. His achievements have left a mark not only in his home country but across five continents.
Robert began his path to success in his native Canada, where he revitalized Vancouver's largest urban settlement, Concord Pacific Place. This project became the starting point of his career.

In 2001, Robert joined Emaar Properties — another leading developer in Dubai. He held executive positions in the company and significantly contributed to several residential projects — Arabian Ranches, Emirates Living, Emirates Hills, The Greens. Robert also participated in the development of areas like Dubai Marina and Downtown Dubai while at Emaar. In Downtown Dubai, he was responsible for everything from hiring master planners to launching the famous Burj Khalifa.
Today, Robert continues to be involved in the development of Emaar and holds the position of advisor to the chairman.
We analyzed Ellington's projects and concluded that the developer's flagship project is the DT1 residential complex.
Why? Because it has received the most awards, a total of four:
DT1 is located in the Downtown area. The project consists of 131 units, offering an intimate and serene setting. The residential complex's concept was developed by Perkins+Will, the second-largest architectural firm in the USA.
Ellington Properties calls itself a "boutique developer," creating high-quality projects with a focus on architecture and design. The company carefully plans everything, including landscaping, layouts, hidden storage systems, and equips apartments with built-in appliances.
Ellington carefully selects the neighborhoods for its projects. It has developments in Mohammed Bin Rashid City (MBR City), Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC), Downtown Dubai, Palm Jumeirah, and Dubai Hills Estate.
This year, the developer announced its expansion beyond Dubai – it will construct a properties in Ras Al Khaimah. This location is promising, especially as by 2027, the first casino in the Middle East will be built there, attracting a wide audience.
