To apply for DEWA services, you need a valid Ejari number for tenants, or, for owners, a title deed/sales purchase agreement along with identification documents. The application can be done via the DEWA website or DEWA Smart App.

Tenants receive an email and SMS from DEWA with a contract account number and the security deposit amount to be paid, while property owners have their security deposits refunded upon sale of the premises. The service fees include a security deposit (AED 2,000 for flats and AED 4,000 for villas) and activation charges. Water and electricity supply is connected within 15 working hours of payment.
