    Dubai Islands is a new island district in northern Dubai. The archipelago consists of five artificial islands with long sandy beaches, promenades and places to walk by the water.     One of the main advantages of Dubai Islands is its convenient location. The historic Gold Souk and Spice Souk markets, the Dubai Creek area and the business district of Deira are just a few minutes' drive away. Modern bridges have already been built to connect the islands to the mainland, so the journey to Dubai International Airport (DXB) and the city centre takes about 20 minutes by car.

    A popular attraction on the island is Souk Al Marfa. It is a large indoor market on the waterfront, almost 2 km long.
