Dubai Islands is one of Dubai's most ambitious coastal projects, located north of the mainland, near the Deira district and the historic centre of the emirate. The archipelago of five artificial islands is connected to the main part of Dubai by modern transport links and bridges, ensuring quick and easy access. Dubai International Airport is only 15-20 minutes away, and Downtown Dubai is about 25-30 minutes by car.
Dubai Islands is being developed as a multifunctional space with an emphasis on resort living, sustainability and quality of the urban environment. The project includes more than 80 hotels of various levels, from family-friendly to ultra-luxurious, as well as beaches, golf courses, coastal parks, bike paths and cultural facilities. One of the future attractions will be Dubai Islands Marina, a yacht harbour with waterfront restaurants and water sports facilities.
The islands will have international schools and private kindergartens offering British, American and IB programmes. Residents' medical needs will be met by modern clinics, diagnostic centres and pharmacies, some of which will be part of multi-purpose developments.
Within 15-20 minutes, there are large shopping centres such as City Centre Deira, Al Ghurair Centre and Reef Mall. Lovers of traditional oriental flavour will find it easy to reach the Gold Souk, Spice Souk and Textile Souk. Cultural attractions such as Dubai Frame, Al Shindagha Museum, Heritage Village and Sheikh Saeed's House are also nearby.
Dubai Islands is an area with high investment potential, offering coastal real estate, a wide range of activities, well-planned infrastructure and prestigious status.
