    Dubai Islands is a new coastal area of Dubai developed by Nakheel. It consists of several artificial islands near Deira. They are connected to the city by bridges and exits from Al Khaleej Street, with the Infinity Bridge nearby. It is convenient to reach the historic centre and business districts by car from here. The journey to Downtown Dubai and the business districts usually takes about 20-30 minutes, and the airport is about the same distance away.

    The main idea behind Dubai Islands is ‘living by the sea, but with urban comforts’. Long sandy beaches, marinas, hotels and residential complexes are planned here, as well as a large shopping and entertainment centre, Dubai Islands Mall. It is set to be one of the largest malls in the city with hundreds of shops, restaurants, cinemas and children's areas.

    You can already get a taste of the atmosphere of the area at the Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai on the shores of Dubai Islands. It has its own beach, a large water park with slides and a children's area, and several restaurants and bars. It is a popular place for family weekends.
